Hi,

Ever installed java midlets such as KD player and getting tons of "Allow request" messages? Now you can change the permissions of all your untrusted java midlets to "Always Allowed"!
First apply the famous c2z patch and then copy the two files (jtwi_r1.xpf and midp2_rp.xpf) which are attached here to c:\system\midp2\security\policy\

What does the c2z patch do?
The c2z patch forces the phone to use files in C: before the same file in Z:
For example, if you have
c:\resource\apps\About.r01
then it will take precedence over
z:\resource\apps\About.r01
This is usefull to fake Symbian so that it takes your own file, before the original one.
As files in C: are read+write, you can modify them.
And you will gain all the java permissions.

Instructions:
This program makes a patch for Symbian S60v3 phones, to be used with ROMPatcher.
To run it:
using a hacked phone, extract
z:\sys\bin\EFSrv.dll
and copy to the a PC folder where you have c2z.exe
and run c2z.exe
It will generate the files:
c2z.rmp
Transfer it to your mobile e:\Patches
and start ROMPatcher and load it.
Copy the two files (jtwi_r1.xpf and midp2_rp.xpf) which are attached here to c:\system\midp2\security\policy\

Many thanks to -=ZoRN=- for this great program.

Enjoy.

What's your phone model?
Because this works for FP1 phones. I just tested on my 6120c.

Working like a charm with KD Player.
Cheers ;)

hi i own e61i and i used rom patcher on my phone and it worked but after formatting my phone once(pressing greem key+3+*+power on button) wen i reapplied the rom patch it did not allow the fonts to b changed. It only allows either the boot up sound hack or font change. Where as wen i used the older method of hack perm patch it allows both the hacks. Also the patch for wlan, calender and today's view doesnt work either. Can it b done on e61i? Please helpthanks

i hard reset the phone because the fonts wern't changin. I tried the midp patch but my phone hangs. The rom patch application works fine. I can access sys, private and system folders but all the other patches dont work. Can they b made to work on e61i? Hw do these patches affect battery life? U had mentioned abt sending a dll file (to a forum member) if the midp2 patch doesnt work. Can i send it to u?

My bro uses an e61, not "i" version and it works. Others have reported e61i to be working...I'm not sure why it doesn't work for you.
Anyway I don't think the patches affect battery life. If the midp patch hangs your phone then don't use it, although its working on my 6120c.
But I mention about sending a dll file? I think I didn't but if I did, I'm sorry because the c2z patch was created by FCA00000 as a beta.

Cheers.

Hello,
I had done the Drakkerious Phone Hack, Then i did the c2z patch and keeping caps off, did a hack to allow java file permissions to READ and WRITE. I wanted to play the Lyrics Player.

But Now, the permissions are not being asked. But the Audio, Internet Access etc are not working for J2ME. Permissions are given to read write. But nothing when it comes to audio playback.

help Please to righten the issue.

i had copied two files into C:\system\data\midp2\security\policy\

i tried to copy the Z:\system\data\midp2\security\policy\ to C:\ and then re apply the ROMpatch . but in either case the audio is not being played.

Does this happen only for lyric player? or for every J2ME file, e.g java games etc.

Does the hack make the phone slower, or battery intensive?
